When I was a little girl, my mom and dad would come home to find me tearing down wallpaper, painting(and re-painting) walls and rooms, and moving my furniture around in my bedroom constantly. I did this because I loved the way I felt once I had transformed a room. It gave me a sense of accomplishment, a new beginning, a clean environment: a room ready to be filled with new adventures and memories.
As I grew older, I continued to exercise my love for renovation and design on various college dorm rooms and each subsequent apartment I rented, and eventually to the homes I now own. While I didn't choose interior design as my career path, I have never stopped decorating and re-decorating spaces I came across: sisters' houses, friends' apartments and more. Upon purchasing my own home, I discovered an additional passion: hunting for the perfect pieces to fill it with. On the weekends, I spend my time poking around antique and thrift stores in search of treasures large and small: the hunt for a solid antique chair or a delicate tin toy bring me equal amounts of joy and pleasure.
Finally, during my maternity leave after the birth of my son in 2014, I realized that I needed to channel my passion for antiquing, home decor and interior design into a full time career. So I left a successful position in health care facility food service management, obtained my real estate license, and now work as a full time real estate agent and interior space consultant.
I have always believed that a house is more than the literal definition of shelter or a mere financial asset. I believe it is, or should be, where your heart is; it should serve as the backdrop for memory-making, for living life to the fullest, for loving and being loved in whatever life stage you are at. And so for this reason, I am passionate about working with clients either to redesign their spaces to make them more relevant, find the perfect house to make into a home, or sell a house in order to move forward in pursuing important life changes, whatever they might be.
I have a true passion for all things house- and home-related, and I look forward to sharing that passion with you.
